This is a 1987 Yves Saint Laurent coat made in a striking magenta coloured wool.  The coat features 80s relaxed oversized style with large shoulder pads, full cut off-the-shoulder sleeves that are gathered at the velvet trimmed cuff, a jewel neckline, wide band diagonal side pockets, a seven black plastic button front closure and an above the knee length.  This 1987 Yves Saint Laurent coat is fully lined in a black fabric with the neckline, opening and hemline lined in black velvet, the velvet showing at the back hemline - very posh.  
Label: Yves Saint Laurent Paris Rive Gauche Made in France.
Fabric label:  100% wool.  The label also has a code of H87 on it, which I believe stands for Hiver (winter) 1987.  I’ve attached a photo of a very similar coat from the Saint Laurent Haute Couture 1987 collection that has a bow collar.
Sizing: There is no size label and although this 1987 Yves Saint Laurent coat should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 20” across seam to seam
Sleeves: 22” from the shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeve inseam: 17 1/2”
Bust:  50”
Waist:  46”
Hips:  44”
Overall length:  34”
Condition: This 1987 Yves Saint Laurent coat is in excellent condition with no stains, odour, wear or tears - this coat looks to have seen very little use.
